FEES

Due to rising costs of running a practice and the fixed medicare rebates, EGP now privately bills.

Starting May 12th 2025, all NEW patients will be charged a fee of $90 for a standard consult less than 20mins with a medicare rebate of $42.85

For a consult lasting longer than 20 mins, the fee is $160 with a medicare rebate of $82.90

Patients who have been to the surgery in the last 2 years and are under 15 years of age or patients who are pensioners, or health care card holders will continue to be bulk billed

Registrars will bulk bill existing patients on weekdays from Monday to Friday.

All new patients booking with a registrar will be privately charged.

Patients who are 16 and over and do not hold a health care card or a pension card will be privately billed.

LONG CONSULT > 20MINS $160 $82.90 $77.10

PROLONGED CONSULT > 40MINS $250 $122.15 $127.85

NEW PATIENTS who book an initial visit with a registrar will be privately charged for the initial visit.

For all other appointments, the registrars will continue to bulk bill all face to face consultations on weekdays (mon-fri)

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you miss your appointment or fail to cancel within 2 hrs of your appointment a cancellation fee of $40 will apply

TELEHEALTH CHANGES

NEW FEE SCHEDULE STARTING JULY 1ST 2024:

Patients who are under 16, hold a pension or HCC will be charged $75

Patients who are 16 and over who do not hold any concession cards, will be charged $90

EGP POLICY ON REPEAT SCRIPTS AND REFERRALS

If you have attended the practice in the previous twelve (12) months, your doctor may accept a request for a repeat script

If your doctor feels an appointment is necessary prior to prescribIng the medication, you will be asked by reception staff to book in an apppointment.

The government has frozen GP medicare rebates for many years. If you feel this is not being managed appropriately by the government, please contact your local member.
